Has anyone else had a problem with appt disappearing the past several months? I don't remember having this problem before and now we're having a patient show up that isn't on the schedule once every week or two. I do have a new front desk person but the problem started before she did.

We've found this problem occurs if two staff members are in the same exam slot at the same time. One staff "wins" the slot and their patient gets entered in. The other "loses" and their patient's appointment doesn't lock in--yet the staff member is unaware unless they go back into the schedule to verify that it took.

I was wondering if that was the source. It was strange that it just started happening. If you save an appt and it displays on the schedule, does that mean it "won" or could it disappear the next time you go to the schedule? And I thought I saw a recent "fix" for that in one of the updates. Yes, 4.4.7 Added option to prompt for possible duplicate appointment [typically :TAB]. Is that for something different? Marcia

Yes, when I spoke with CPM about this, I vaguely remember that there is a prompt, but it doesn't work if the appts are made within 45 seconds of each other. So if that is the case, the prompt doesn't apply.

So does that mean each use will see their scheduled appt show up on the schedule after saving the appt, but then one will get wiped out the next time the database auto updates? Marcia

I thought the alert was for 2 appointments for the same patient at different times?

I thought the alert was for 2 appointments for the same patient at different times? yes, that was my understanding also, and how it worked for awhile, but doesn't seem to be working now. I'm not getting any pop ups.
