Problem with Random UPC

Hey All

I just having an issue that hasn't happened before

The person who handled inventory before just let the program choose the random UPC

I'm trying to change the numbers to the manufacturer's.
But, just now, when I was changing the random to real, Crystal kept changing back to the random
Even after deleting all information about the frame it still refused to accept the new, correct #

Question 1: how do I stop this from happening?

Also, most of the frames we carry are smaller, boutique lines and custom made frames that do not have a sku
And the random Sku generator is more of a PITA than helpful

Question 2: is there any way of stopping crystal from creating a random # that is not at all helpful to us?
