Is anyone using a tablet or kiosk for patient registration in the office? If so what are you using and how is it going? We were considering doing this to speed things up. Thank you! Anne

I would also like to know if the Patient Reach app on the tablet with Solution Reach is compatible with Crystal PM. Thanks

Apparently the app with Solution Reach is only available on an ipad, no droid products. Will that work with Crystal PM?

Since Patient Reach actually uses Solution Reach (doesn't appear to go directly to Crystal), I would think that it should. Please check with your Solution Reach rep and post what you find out!

Anne Yes, our office has been using it. Patients and staff love it. Using 2 ipads and 1 hp tablet. We have 1 laptop available if the patients want to use it but all have opted for the ipads.

I would assume that using the iPads means that they are using the web interface from the CrystalPM website for your office, then importing from web during the registration.

Yes, you are correct. Check it out at my website: www.visionsoure-tulsa.com. Go to tab Patients, then Patient Forms, then patient Intake Form. I modified the form to meet our office's needs. We have a lot of patients fill it out home before arriving. We mention it to the patients when they make their appointment.

I noticed you have a box for medication that patient fills in, how does that get input into the medication grid in the medical records? you have go manually enter it once you import the data over?

Those fields on the form are coded to the following field ID's: 15, 1547, 1548, 226, 227. The fields were created in the medical record and the data imports into them after the patient fills out the form. The medications field in the ARRA tab is a government standard that has to be filled in manually and cannot have data transferred to it.

Well,
Field ID's vary from install to install right? - That is what I was told. Also, those would not be in the proper format B/C all of the Govt mandated codes have different nomenclature if I'm remembering that correctly.

Here is a question: Is there the ability to populate that form with an existing PT demographics info (if you have a code to sign in with maybe?)? That way they could just verify their info and move on?
This is a pretty old post - has no one else had experience with this? inquiring minds want to know,,,,,,,, I am considering implementing this in one office soon.
Thanks in advance for your responses.

Yes, Existing patients may be given a code to input instead of going to new patient form. This is done in the patient tab under files.

I have a patient portal "quest account" set up on both my tablets to ONLY go to Crystal Patient Portal. I do need more computers to successfully use this function but it took two seconds to set up.

By "successfully use this function" Do you mean for it to serve the number of patients you have - or something else?
