CMS has made a change to Meaningful Use Core Measure 17 (Secure Electronic Messaging) for the 2016 calendar year. For at least one patient seen by the Eligible Provider during the reporting period, a secure message must be sent using the electronic messaging function of CEHRT. Please email James@crystalpm.com to set up an appointment to review the Meaningful Use Measure Report and receive updated training documentation for the 2016 Calendar year.

James,
We are required in Core Measure 14 to check the box "Pt transferred in" etc. Can we make an associated field in the "Patient" tab that the front desk can check off when they receive said transferred patient which will then prompt the Doctor while in the exam "ARRA" tab to check off the medication reconciliation" etc? seems like a logical feature to me. - Charlie

This is not necessarily an answer to the question, but one thing we did that helps us to not forget some of the more obscure MU rules was create a Meaningful Use section on the A/P page of our record... In my opinion the ARRA tab unorganized and difficult to navigate, so I have moved those fields that we would ever need to go to that tab for over to our A/P tab. The doc or scribe can quickly run through the checklist at the conclusion of an encounter. We do this at the end of every exam, and this keeps us M/U compliant. Photo for Reference
