This one's pretty simple: Please set crystal to default to the credit card tab when under Make Payment. It's not a huge change, but considering the vast majority of us take CC >>> Cash, it would be nice for efficiency sake.

Sorry to disagree, but we haven't gotten fixes for some of the more important requests, and we're going to worry about clicking 'credit' being too time consuming? I'd rather see CPM focus on the bigger issues we've requested for 2 and 3 years. I'll happily click check, credit, or insurance all day long if I can see family balances/credit and total pt balance from the invoice I'm working on. Since the tendency is to look at the bottom for a total, it's still counter-intuitive to put the total balance at the top of the page where it's missed more often than not. Then to post a payment, and find there was a credit hanging out there just makes us look stupid. That fix, to our office, would be a major victory. I'll step down off my soap box now.

Karen While I wholeheartedly agree that there are much more significant improvements that could be made, this *should be* a really quick fix that impacts the majority of transactions. Although moving the location of the total patient balance should be easy too. Well over a year ago, I was compiling a comprehensive list of recommendations for the billing processes based on requests made here on the forum over the years (many repeatedly) and processes that worked very well for me in my own software that I used before converting to EHR. Unfortunately, life got in the way and the programmers were swamped with getting the latest MU changes out at the time anyway. Then there was an announcement that one of the programmers was going to be working on Invoices once they finished the MU changes so I waited for the update to come out. Now, several major updates later, the same problems still exist. Maybe this will motivate me to finish my list and see if some of these chronic problems can be addressed. Marcia
