Can you please add phone number fields or maybe change how the fields for phone numbers are labeled.
We have many patients who are minor children or adults with caregivers. Listing the numbers as "Home" "Work" and "Cell" doesn't work as well for those. It would be better if they were labeled Primary, secondary, emergency and billing (for those households where the caregiver who brings the patient to appointments is NOT the person who pays the bills). These would need to have space to describe whose phone number it is. Ex: mom cell, dad work, caregiver, driver.
Thanks.

I'm still having trouble from an education standpoint. Our staff still insists on putting cell phone number in the cell phone field when it's the only contact number. I can't get them to understand that if it's the primary number, it will not pull through on phone fields throughout the record if it is not listed as the home number. Perhaps if CPM could look for the home as primary, then cell as secondary to populate the other fields, it would work. Other option list phone 1, phone 2, etc and as dvaoffice suggested, a way to designate whose number it is and order of preference. I know there are too many options to list, but what we have now is not a one size fits all solution.

Karen We had this issue when we discovered that Eprescribe wasn't working without a number in the "home" slot. We solved it by making the home # mandatory. It makes it so that they can't navigate away from the patient page without having that spot filled!
