I hope someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong. When I go to the correspondence report so I can get a list of patients by diagnosis - it only gives me results when I enter 1 Dx at a time. If I put more than 1 Dx in the search box I get a blank report. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong? Thanks.

I think that's a relatively new function and when I just tried a sample with two diagnosis codes 367.1 and 365.01. I get more with either code alone than I do with both in there so my guess is that it's only pulling up patients that have both (all) diagnoses listed rather than patients with either of the diagnoses.

That's right. I have asked Crystal since we first started to include an 'either/or' option for searching. Maybe if we all request it, they will listen to us, they sure haven't listened to me.... Karen

That makes sense - the search is only going to pull patients with those same multiple Dx's not all patients who would have either/or. Ok good - so its not me but that needs to be fixed. It's taking me forever to try to put a report together for the doctor of patients with certain Dx's. Thanks for letting me know and KizerOpt I def agree with you.

Does anyone know if there is a way to run the correspondence report flagging a medical record field if it has a value? In other words there is a text box in the medical record that normally gets something typed in it(but it's different everytime) so what I want is to run a report giving me all the patients that have had something typed into that particular box.

Thanks. Andy The labeling is a little confusing but you want to put % in there. That displays all patients *that contain a value* in that med rec field and the contents are listed in the last column of the report. Be sure to set a date range too. Leaving it blank pulls up everyone with that field empty. Marcia
