Suggestion: when we make an appointment, invoice or update information for an inactive patient, could you create a pop up that asks if we want to activate the patient? We have had some instances where we made the appointment, updated the hx and managed to overlook the 'set patient active' box. A reminder would be a big help.
Thanks, Karen

I think that is a great idea. In the last software I worked in, you couldn't even edit anything in the patient file unless you activated them!

Karen,
Do you have your search criteria set on only active or all? Usually, most offices leave it on only active so when a patient does call and I can't find them, I will switch to all so I can see the inactive patients show up in red. That's when I activate them back in the system because there had to be a reason why they were inactive in the first place (moved away, bad account..etc). With that said, we also create alerts if there is a special reason to make the patient inactive.

Plus, when you make them active, the patient file closes up and you have to reopen it.. kind of a pain.
