Ever since the new version has been released we have had people that were unhappy with the way the Summary is now printed. Here I'm going to post an email which comes through pretty frequently, along with the answer provided by the Dev Team Manager/Owner/Crystal Guru.... Hope this sheds some light on the subject.

Hi Paul, the current ARRA is a major hassle to print out the patient information diagnosis codes. The prior way was far superior in that when you hit print you got exactly what was needed . Now you have to search and then choose the diagnosis. Changes should be be making things better and easier not more difficult and time consuming. In a busy practice these extra steps are just a hassle and totally unnecessary.
Please consider making this a priority to rectify and get it back to the way it was previously.
Thanks.

I agree with you concerning the Clinical Summary printing. At the beginning of this year we attain Meaningful Use 2014 certification, and the requirement for Clinical Summary changed from the previous version. This version must allow the users to pick and choose items on a record by record basis, and must allow for the export of this information into a valid CCD document. The previous version was much more vague and open to interpetation, and only required a list of medications, allergies, and left the user up to changing the information on a system wide scale.
We always strive to make new features enhance our product, but occasionally we are forced to conform to a government standard to comply with requirements. I will bring your request, to simplify the clinical summary, up in our next development meeting.
