Is there any way to print an inventory report that you can actually read and use? I get portrait view, partial columns and unwanted columns every way I try. Print to file sends it to a black hole, apparently. I can't find the file afterward. Is anyone else printing inventory lists successfully. We would like to know how you do it. Barring that, Crystal - please give us the ability to print usable inventory reports!

Update - after my computer finished searching, it did find the file I saved, but it can't open it because it's not a supported filed type.?? Guess it's not an Excel file like I was hoping for....

If you save the file without changing the name, it should keep the .csv extension. If you happen to change the file name, add the .csv to the end and you should be able to open up the file.

They are in the process of making the frame inventory reports useful. In beta now.... .csv should open in excel with no problems. you may need to run in compatibility mode.

I do use the full report (i.e. contacts), and open in Excel, but then I have to sort and modify all columns. What I would like is to get a report for an individual vendor (Vistakon) that doesn't require a lot of modification to be able to use it. If I run the report on the vendor, it's really unuseable with all the info cut off in the columns, and no way to adjust it because it doesn't send to csv like the full report does. Or so I find in my attempts to use it....

Is there a way to print out an inventory of only the frames you have in inventory? as you might have noticed from the old dates, our requests for good inventory reports haven't gone anywhere in 2 yrs. So, no. Sorry. Not without sending to an external file and modifying greatly.
