Not sure if anyone else is having this problem, but at times, there will be a pop up window that actually opens underneath or behind windows that are already opened. When this occurs, you can't get to it or close out the top window unless you close out the entire program or go to task manager.

Check your version number. that was an issue on some older versions. I haven't had that happen in a while. If you haven't updated CPM in a while, consider doing that and it should be fixed.

Can you tell me where at in Crystal you are experiencing this? If you are able to re-create it, it would be helpful to know how we can duplicate it on our end.
Thank you, Erica

Good point, I did a search in our system and it looks like he is on 4.0.33 (please verify this by going to help->about. Thanks!

I have found when that happens (and it still does), if I hit the 'enter' key, it closes the pop up window and we can go on our merry way. Even if we can't see the window, just hit 'enter'!

In a newer update than 33, the devlopers have some popups come up either top left or right so the ones in the center can be seen. Yes, hitting the enter button will release the popup, you may miss what the pop up says. The newer versions, this isn't an issue anymore.

In Win 7, if you look at the toolbar you should see stacked Crystal icons when multiple windows are open. Then if hover over them, mini views of the windows will pop up and you can select the window you want. My problem is remembering to look for that. Half the time I don't realize that it's beeping because it's waiting fro a response for a window underneath. I've often wondered if it would be better if they opened new windows offset a little so they weren't always hidden. Not sure how that woudl impact peopel using tablets or small screens but it seems like I spend a lot of time looking for a buried window. Marcia

I am running version 4.0.33 and no updates are available, so I think I am current there. doesn't seem to happen within records but more for front staff so I think it can be with alerts or other pop ups. We were on a support call earlier this week with Nick and it happened to him on our system too. Didn't know the "enter" button could potentially help, so will try that. the offset idea could work, or allow the front windows to be moved to see what is underneath.

I am pretty sure that the newer update (version 34) fixes the issues with pop-ups. If you cant get that version, I would call tech support. I wish I can tell you exactly what version it was fixed in, but I know I have received it. Difficulty for me is that I have signed up to be a beta tester so my current version is later than what you are using and I am not sure what version is beta and which isn't. I THOUGHT that version 36 and later were beta versions, but everything before that was a released version. Either way, I would contact support as I had the same issue and it was resolved in a later release than version 33.
