We are wondering if there is any way to make adjustments to the white status box that tells how long the patient has been here. We’re trying to come up with an easy way to keep track of who is where and for what. We don’t want to use the task manager for that. We’re really not sure what the task manager is used for but we like the idea of customizing the white box that is to the right of the admin tab. Any other ideas of how to track this?

This feature is in beta testing right now and will be released in a future version of Crystal

We’re really not sure what the task manager is used for Every office uses Tasks differently. I use it as a "to do" list and for annoucements. You can assign tasks to individual, multiple or all employees. You can set up recurring tasks (like sending out recall, paying taxes, sending out statements). A patient Alert is good for things that you want to know when you are doing something with the patient (ie. special HIPAA requests like don't give info to husband or updated address needed). But alerts won't help you keep track of things that need to be done for the patient because you only see them when you are on the alerted patient section. Tasks are better if a patient needs something that can't be addressed right then (pt calls for a refill or pt XYZ wants to talks to someone (who isn't available now) about their bill. You can make a task for whoever needs to take action and assign it to the patient. Then when they login or go to their tasks, they will see the task and can go directly to the patient by double-clicking on their name. Marcia
