Direct access to Patient Search, Frames and Contacts

I'd like to request direct access to Patient Search, Frames and Contacts. I know it is only an extra click but these functions are used every day, all day long and it has annoyed me from day one.
Why not just have a Search function on the main menu bar so it can be accessed from anywhere within the program? It would be more obvious for new users too. I think part of my problem stems from the fact that it doesn't always work the same. From the Patient or Record section, a single click on either button pulls up the patient search window but from other sections it will display the current patient.
Likewise, it's drives me crazy to always have to go through the Prescription page (or Status) to get to Contacts or Frames. This is a little trickier because the program currently uses the Rx that was active on the Prescription screen when a new order is created and it doesn't allow us to change to a different Rx date. So if we want to use an older Rx we'd still have to access the orders via the Prescription tab. But why have an extra step every time we access the orders for the rare situation where we want to use an old Rx? Of course allowing us to change to previous Rx dates within the order window would fix that but that's a lot more work.
