When a redo is necessary - once the "remake" button is hit - the last status remains the same (i.e. Dispensed) It would be nice if once remake was hit - that the status automatically changed to PENDING. There have been a couple of redo's that were lost because when the frame report was ran they were not in PENDING.

You also need to double check the due date. It also stays the same as the original order. They could be due 6 months ago... I have been trying to allow us to change the default to whatever time frame we want ie. 2 weeks, next day, etc. They already are defaulted in contacts order page so I do not see any reason why they can't do it in the frames page.

Yes. I've asked for this too. But everybody wants changes and there are only so many hours in the day, even if it truly is easy. When they get time they need to go in and clean up both the Frames and CL orders so they are more consistent.
Remake on the Frames page clears the Dispensed Date but it needs to clear out the Ordered/Ref#/Date ref date, maybe Optician/Staff (I don't use that) and reset the Expected Date.
CL Order They currently do reset the "Due Date" (which I personally like better than "Expected Date") but not the Status or Dispensed Date.
When you Create New Order when one already existed, it clears the vendor (which is labeled To:) so one has to be selected. OTOH, when you create the first ever CL order for a patient, the Vendor defaults to the first vendor in the list (which, in our case, is the least likely vendor). Please leave it blank or at least let us choose a default.
Put the date on the Rx and a Refresh Rx button on both pages for when the doctor decides to modify the Rx after the order has been entered.
Contacts has a Change Status button, Frames does not.
Match layouts. The CL Order is laid out more like an invoice with the pt and vendor address. Frames has the pt dob and gender. The doctor, vendor, status, dispensed and order dates, show balance checkbox, save buttons, etc are all in different places between the two forms. Having the same general layout would make it much easier for those offices with staff that are cross-trained and make it easier to train new people.
And if they really want to make it intuitive for users, lose the Frames and call it Spectacles or Glasses or Specs instead of Frames ;-). Unfortunately that would be a lot of effort because that terminology is used throughout.
Oooh...one more. This isn't related to orders but it drives me bonkers that the skinny top menu item that deals with Tasks is called Reminders. That's also how updates to Tasks are listed in the update log. That one took me a while to figure out. Marcia

Marcia We actually need the previous order info to reference to our labs the original order number at a glance. It helps us out A LOT. The remake button does automatically change the the staff member to the person logged on at the time. I just wish it changed the dates. It gets caught maybe 20% of the time which throws off my reports for frame orders due. I am trying to bring the lab tech into this century kicking and screaming. When he sees stuff like this, he just starts complaining about the system sucks and doesn't work (starting world war 3 with me, loudly) and I try to calm him down by explaining how to correct. it works about 40% of the time. The other 60% I just have to walk away... Can't fire the man married to the owner
