I ran our latest recall report. I did a quick run through of all the 692 names. I checked for addresses in in the required fields. Everything was good to go. I ran the report and now I have at least 15 that are "no city found", "no state found" because the "Is the Billing Address Different?" box was checked.
The report really should show us the data it is going to PULL. I could have corrected these errors without wasting time and recall cards in the process. All of these errors had the address correct on the patient's page. I understand how Crystal will want to pull the info from the Billing address area. I just wished the report also showed that same information.

I can see where the information in the report might be different from the fields included on the card. I have that situation myself. Having said that, I have requested before that the reports show the information relevant to the report. The correspondence report is one example. If I select a date range for last appt, last invoice or whatever - that information should be on the report. Instead I just get a last exam column. I don't see the last appt date. We would like to see addresses on the frames dispensed report for our Thank You cards. Instead, we have to drill down each line to get to the patient page. Would like to see improvements on the reports, and more customization. Let us move the columns to the order we need them, or hide the unwanted ones.

I use the 4x cards instead of a word template. It is faster, easier, less expensive. I don't even bother with the correspondence reports. I just use things like highest revenue reports and pat. receivables. Just easier to navigate what I am usually looking for. We are only a 2 year old business that used paper and pencil for EVERYTHING up until a little over a year ago (at my insistence) They had NO way to track monies owed by insurance or patients. I LOVE Crystal, I really do. It is 100% better then stuff OfficeMate, Compulink and Filemaker Pro. I just wish they had better mapping so the reports did what they said they do. Custom invoice report is a great example of this. It isn't really "custom" if you can't remove the irrelevant (and often duplicate) information now is it?

I have to admit to not using the Custom Invoice Report. Too much info on it and I can't tell what I'm supposed to do with it! There is a lot to like about Crystal, but the reports.... how is it you can't do either/or selections??
