I think it would be a great addition to be able to place a "due date" on certain tasks if needed. I do not believe most need one, but I do many times assign certain tasks to employees that do not necessarily get done in the time frame I would like. Ie must be done by end of the day today, not "when i get to it this week...."

This isn't quite the same but could you use the Important type and enter a date yourself?
Hm...I just checked it and it is in black. I was thinking it came up red but it looks red is for the Sign-Off type. Important is different but it doesn't really catch your attention. Marcia

Or the recurring tasks to keep popping up until signed off...annoy them into submittion

Have you tried the "keep until signed off" (Which makes it bright blue and follows everyday.) That's the one I always use. Do the others drop off the list? Marcia They don't drop off so much as not show up on the next day. They can still be seen as not signed off but you have to go back to the day they were assigned. I set the tasks to keep signed on because they were not being done but they would not be there the next day. Another case of trial by error. Default to keep signed on has HELPED get things done in a timely manner. It stays on the screen until they do what is assigned. I love that it shows up in the patient files page under show tasks so there is NO way someone can say "I didn't get that"
