I work primarily as an optical and would like to be able to get to a frame order or contact order quicker than having to click several tabs.
I would like to have a "Frame Order" and "Contact Order" added to the Quick View under the Patient Tab.
Reasoning: By default Crystal will go to the Quick View after pulling up a patient. Currently you have to go to Prescription and then select the "Frames" or "Contacts" tab to get to an order. To me it would be simpler to be able to go directly to the Frame order instead of trying to search for it. Additionally, we all see patients who come in to reorder contacts and one less click does make a difference.
Also, when it comes to training our employees I think it would make things simpler. The employee doesn't have to remember where they need to go to start an order, it is right there on the first screen they see when pulling up a customer.
A suggestion would be to put the tabs next to the "Print Prev Appts" tab. I believe both would fit in the space open there.

I agree that we need easier access to the Frame and CL orders but I would suggest having them on a common toolbar or menu that is accessible from anywhere, rather than on the Quick View tab.

That isn't a bad idea. I was looking at ease of programming. I figured they could just add the tab to the Quick in the same manner they did to the Prescription Tab.

A work around that I did (for pulling up existing orders when patient calls in checking status...etc), I go to patient tab then status tab. You can see all the orders for glasses and contacts on that page. I do love the idea of having these 2 tabs as a common bar so you can access it anywhere, anytime.
