As an optical I get a large amount of external rx in my store. Keeping track of expiration and doctor can be tricky with Crystal. I would think it would be easier to add two fields that would allow us to put a Doctor's name and also the expiration of the script.
I know there is a work around and I can use that but I'm looking at simplicity and adding the fields who help in keeping track.
Before its asked, the work around that I will use is changing the name of the Rx from example "Spectacle Rx 1" to the name of the doctor. Also making sure the date of the script is changed to the date of the exam. This accomplishes what I'm asking for but it takes more time and is subject to messing up if an employee forgets to change the name or date. With the fields there it reminds them to fill them out and not forget them.

I think an easier work-around would be to put the prescriber and exp date in Rx Notes but it makes sense to have both fields should be a viewable/editable part of the prescription. They already have those fields in some form because they print on the Rx but, as far as I know, the only way you can see them is on the Print Rx window. If you try to edit them there, the changes aren't saved so there's no way to permanently change the exp or prescriber on the Rx. Multi-doc practices would probably appreciate having the prescribing doc info in the Rx too. Marcia
