I know this would be a big change- but my staff has had trouble adjusting to navigating around in Crystal, compared to the old system we used (AltaPoint). Where we were previously able to pull up multiple patients at once and stack them in separate windows for quick and easy navigation, now we can only pull up one patient at a time, then search again and pull up the next patient (the recently viewed and logged in shortcuts are helpful though). When this would especially be handy is checking insurance coverage. We pull up a patient, look at the insurance tab, call the insurance company then close that patient, search for the next patient with upcoming appointment with same insurance (quicker if we hand-write a list ahead of time), open the patient, then go to the insurance tab. It's just doesn't flow as easily as it could if we could stack windows.
Another example- our bookkeeper is working on posting charges, the phone rings and she answers for someone scheduling an appointment. She can't keep where she was open, but has to close, go to the schedule then try to figure out where she was...
If the schedule view could always stay open in the background, where we left it it would sure be useful. I often am looking ahead at appointments, for example to see which VSP patients are coming in, then I click on one to get their insurance information, go back to the schedule and it's on today, so I need to remember what week ahead I was looking on...
Anyway- again, I know this would be a big configuration change, but my staff and I wanted to point out these areas where navigation is difficult for us.
Thanks!

Simple solution...Open multiple instances of Crystal. We have a lot of offices that have multiple instances of Crystal running and dedicating one of the instances just to the schedule.

Yes, I just realized we could do that a couple of weeks ago (although my staff had apparently already figured that out). Marcia
