I am trying to print frame labels on 1/2"x 1" 2 up labels and when I select the Crystal template it prints everything in reverse order of what its supposed to, too far down on the label, and the barcode runs off the right side of the label. Example: I want my label to print like this: Frame Manufacturer Frame Name Color Size Price
But it prints it in this order: Price Size Color Name Manufacturer the barcode is also upside down on the label in addition to printing at the very bottom edge of the label so it cuts off info and the barcode running off the right edge of the label.
I was able to change the size of the barcode so its smaller and fits on the label, but it makes it so small that the barcode scanner cant even read it. And I reversed the order I was telling it print the frame details so it actually prints in the order I want it, but the misalignment running off the edge is still a problem
I called Crystal Tech support and they (on top of being rude) say that its a Dymo issue and I need to call them. When I print from Dymo label software it prints perfectly in alignment. Dymo tech support cant help when you're printing from a 3rd party program, as long as your Dymo drivers are installed and up to date that is all they help with cause they have no knowledge or access to Crystal.
Anyone experienced this problem or even better found a fix?

Chris, I apologize that my support staff was not able to come to a resolution with your label printer. If you would like, I would be happy to get logged on with you to take a look, and to discuss the sub-par service you may have received. If you would like, you can email me at kraig@crystalpm.com and I can call your office whenever you would like. - Kraig

Just a heads up to other offices, the 1/2" by 1" labels do not work. Newer UPC standards are EAN13 or UPC A, and these barcodes DO NOT fit on the smaller labels (not just in Crystal, but in the Dymo software as well). As always, we recommend the ArchCrown DT390 labels.

On the inventory frame page in the bottom left area there is a label template box. The fields in this box can be rearranged to any order you like to print whatever information you want. I agree with Kraigs comment about the Archcrown labels. They work perfectly.

I am unable to get the UPC to print in landscape mode. The other information switches to landscape, but not the UPC.

Hey wally, it seems like we adjusted for this several updates back. Please try to run an update to our latest version, 4.2.12 (Admin - Updates - Check online for updates) and let me know if you're still having issues.
Another adjustment you may want to try is unchecking landscape in Crystal and going into the printer properties (Start - Devices and Printers - right click on printer and choose Printer Properties) and selecting landscape from there.

These are old notes I made when we started late 2012. No idea if anything has changed. Crystal recommends the DT 390 from archcrown.com www.archcrown.com/productcategories.cfm?catalog=1&subcategory=12&rrl=11 1/8” x1 3/16” $33.75/1000 It looks like the UPC labels from the frame manufacturers. Crystal says UPC-A codes are used for frames. They are too long to fit on the rat tail labels but we made our own rat tail labels by wrapping a narrow piece of white ribbon (could use string or cord) around the temple and encasing the ends in between the folded DT 390 label (or the one that comes with the frame). Note: my optician has since gone back to the double slot temple tags. I don't remember why. If you want to customize the UPC label template go to Inventory-> Add Frame and select the “Edit Label Template “ button (upper right) If you use the Crystal Label Template, insert the text and desired fields. All the fields that are indicated on the Crystal label template will shrink to fit the Arch Crown DT 390 tag with UPC on one half and text on the other. Each line on the template will print as a separate line. To make a custom Dymo template with the Dymo software as per Crystal: Select UPC-A Add a single text box that include all the info you want on the label. Save the label. In Crystal->Inventory->Add frame, Select “Upload Dymo Template”. Under “Select a template” select the desired label file. Upload Dymo template. However, when I try to type the 12 (?) digit UPC into the Dymo printer software, it says it won’t fit. Also, since you are new, here's a barcode scanner someone recommended back then: *ID TECH* EconoScan II Short Range CCD *Scanner* - Wired Handheld *Barcode scanner* tinyurl.com/7wh82ggMarcia

The DT390 is still the recommended label, but the new format to choose for a Crystal template is UPCA-EAN13. This will auto adjust for 12-13 digit UPCs. We used to have a Dymo template available for download, but I believe the link has gone bad. (I just found it and attached it to this post). To be honest, I haven't ran into a situation where the Crystal template hasn't worked better on the DT390 than the Dymo template.
