I recently discovered that the Add Medication window can be resized AND that any extra height is added to the list box. Whoot! Now I don't have to scroll through those 20 meds only seeing 2 at a time. BUT since the box is much smaller than the screen anyway, how about just making it open up taller to start off with? Or having it remember the last setting used? That way people can size it to their liking. Same goes for the Add Drug Allergy window.

I knew about the sizing, I would love to be able to sort the add medication window by date or medication. I can sort in the ARRA, but not the Add. Karen

8 months later, and still not able to sort the medications in the Add Medication window. This would be sooo helpful when patients have several and you have to compare the Crystal list to the paper list. It would also be nice if you can update them with today's date as you review, so you can see which are current. I would prefer to not have to re-enter each med from scratch each time in order to update the date. Something simpler would save time for staff and the doctor to also see current. I leave the old meds in so he can see the hx.

Hopefully they will fix all these things when they get around to working on the meds window. The date is when it was Rx'd (although it's really there for when we entered it) so I'm not sure they want to update the date. They could potentially add a "reviewed date" but I think a checkbox would be easier (for us). Then we could check off the ones we have in Crystal as we go down the patient's meds list to make sure we have them all. I have also never understood why drugs that we Rx aren't added to the medications list. Marcia

Marcia said - ' I have also never understood why drugs that we Rx aren't added to the medications list.' That would be too easy, makes too much sense to do it that way. A checkbox might work, but only if it does not remain checked. Next time, you'd have to look at meds, dates and checks. And you are certainly correct in adding the need for the Brand name. I'm continually looking them up to get the name the patient recognizes!
