In order to print out a slip for the staff to order contact trials for a patient, I presently have to finalize the contacts, then create an order and then print the order. This then makes it look like the contacts have been finalized. Is there a better way? We like to have a slip to put in the tray waiting for the trials to arrive. Could we have a notation that allows us to create an order for trials with out if being finalized? What I do now is have comments that say "these are trials only" on the order slip but it makes it some what difficult to track trials and finalized rxs. How are people handling this out there? Paul

Paul We still struggle with this. So frustrating - this would be such a time saver!!!

We just print the cl trial page w/ a note to order trial #1, #2, etc.

I handle it through a spreadsheet outside CrystalPM. I can upload it if you guys want. I also use it to track expiration dates instead of manually searching through them. It is a lot of work to set up the expiration date tracking, but pays off once it is done. (It would probably be a lot easier with a bar-code reader. I need to look into getting one of those...)
